Make sure you math is correct and that you cut in the correct slot.I write my slot inches down so I do the math correct. It is easy to get in a hurry and cut in the wrong slot. ( ya I did that a couple of times)
I put a piece of blue painters tape next to the slot I want to use, also do this with my regular rulers to prevent errors in cutting.
