Not to stir the pot, but just be aware that with each square being 24"**, and hanging down on the sides of the bed, it really isn't going to look like much on the bed, except a bunch of HUGE pieces of fabric.
(instead of 25" - math/cutting is easier w/o half inches at this size, plus you're new - I love your avatar quilt - but you don't need the added hassle of cutting bigger than your rulers)
Perhaps making the pattern fit the top of the bed, and then doing something for the sides hanging down. A queen size mattress top measures 60" x 80" across the top, so you're talking a 20" overhang on the sides.
