Last summer, I got a Juki and Grace Pro frame because because that was all I could justify spending for my expensive hobby. When I showed the 1st quilt I did on the short arm, I told everyone to stand 20 feet away and take their glasses off. My first 2 quilts were done with ruler work. I practiced during the winter in addition to working full-time plus as a NP and adventured with my first all free motion project this summer. Now I can tell my friends to stay 5 feet away and keep their glasses on. Right now I have a "not well pieced" quilt on the frame and am using a spiral pattern board. Thank goodness it is going to my 4 year old GS as we won't notice the errors.
Oops, I accidently hit the wrong key. I have also included a pix of our 8 week old pup. I used Hobbs Poly Down as I just so much admire Charismah quilting style.
