I mentioned some time ago that I wanted to make an Airedale pincushion. Being an owner of Tallulah the Airedale. I saw a pin cushion in my local shop - Art and Stitch, that the owner (another Angela) had made and liked the style of the pin cushion. This got my thinking.
I enlarged a picture of an Airedale from Google images and appliquéd it on to hand dyed felt (I bought this rather than making and dying my own)
So that it would keep its shape and not put to much strain on the felt I made a cushion pad and filled it with sawdust - as suggested by Angela. And here it is, I am really pleased with it.
Its quite large so I don't lose it.
