Betty, I just finished my FWQ hand pieced...I used a wooden iron with it. Surprizing it worked well. I work on a lap board since all of those pieces was like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. I think the main thing is to lock those seams! I didn't do as good job on that as I should have & hand quilting will be a pain because of that. But since my blocks are only 6" with sashing in between...I think just the sashing will get quilted!
