I definitely wouldn't let it bother you...you offered your apology to whomever was offended...not many I'm sure.

When I was working in a 5 story office building, if anyone did something funny - or say, decorating the office door in the main hallway for a 50th birthday or anything....I was the first person they thought was responsible...
I don't know why........maybe because another gal and I had a surprise party for one of our bosses and got his wife's permission ahead of time to get a singing belly dancer come in as he cut the cake. :-D :D

Anyway, anytime a new patient and their spouse/family joined our office I made sure to tell them (once I got to know them better) that IF I SAID OR DID ANYTHING THAT OFFENDED THEM I WANTED THEM TO TELL ME.......

.....BECAUSE ....IF THEY DIDN'T TELL ME AND I DID IT AGAIN IT THEN WOULDN'T BE MY FAULT!
I also warned them that as professional as I could be, what they saw was what they got...I didn't have time in my life to do otherwise.

I have never had any complaints or problems.
And I love jokes! One DIL is blonde!
