About the applique: I know your cousin did it right? Did she cut the pieces out and not turn edges under, but machine applique them down? She did a good job too and piecing.
That is correct. She stitched around the raw edges of the applique. She does fantastic work! her other quilts are gorgeous, too. The last one she did before this Easter bunny quilt was wool applique and it was all needle-turned applique.
