This from that wise old sage Maxine:

"Do you realize that in about forty years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos and pierced navels?" (Now that's scary!)[/quote]

I got my first tattoo when I was 32. My father was fine with it but my BFF's father had a fit. He asked me "What are you going to do when you are 80 and in a nursing home?" My reply was that I would be an 80 yo woman in a nursing home with a tattoo!

I too have worked as a nurse in a nursing home and no, tattoos don't age well. I don't really think having a tattoo is about how it will look when you are old. It is an expression of the individual and what does it really matter what a tattoo looks like when you are old. Some people don't age well either!!!
