Operation Kid comfort. They get pictures of deployed servicemen with their children, transfer them to fabric which is then sent to a volunteer to became a quilt or pillowcase. Great for the child to hug since the parent isn't there. If you can only donate time and not money they will send you fabric too. Sounds like they take care of all shipping too.
