I found a way to reuse copy paper that has been used printing "proof" copies... instead of tossing them, I trim the 8.5 X 11 inch sheets to 8.5 inches square, then sew diagonally across with any strips, or scraps I have left. Makes an eight inch square block finished. Of course, you have to tear off the paper when you are finished, like paper piecing. (Same technique) You will be surprised how quickly they stack up. Soon you have enough to make a scrappy string quilt. If you don't want to keep them, donate them to the charity quilts at your guild, or other quilt makers. :)
