This quilt has a minimalist look to it that is very up to date and quite elegant. It might be just the quilt for someone who doesn't like the traditional or country look associated with most quilts. Quite the "city" look IMHO. It's an idea that could be adapted to any number of patterns; just using the pattern motif in a central section and whole cloth the rest with a border. Changes the whole nuance of the quilt.
