I did the blocks in horizontal panels. Then I sewed to panels together making 1/4" in seam visible on the top . You place a 1 1/4" strip to the 1/4" seam and then you iron open the seam and fold the strip over the flat seam now and then you sew " I used the blanket stitch " down each side of the strip to keep it always in place. Panels are the five blocks completely quilted as you go. I sewed in the ditch of all the blocks . I was just given the t-shirts and I did all the cutting and used Pellon tricot interfacing on all of the t-shirt material so it would still be pliable but a little more stable without stretchin. I put in over 450 hours and finished in 2 1/2 months. Trish
