. After you cut it, be sure to put duct tape on the end really securely or your tape could sneak back in the case. I don't totally trust the lock on it so I use both.
My husband broke the case for me so I just have the tape and don't have to worry about losing the end back in the case. I keep a ponytail elastic around it to keep it wound up. I just unwind what I need and then snap the elastic back on it. I've been doing this for over a year with no problems.
