I can just try to imagine who and why this machine was thrown away. Maybe the owner died and the spouse just had to get rid of the memories. Maybe the owner thought it was too far gone to have it fixed. Maybe the owner told her spouse that the machine had died and that it couldn't be fixed -- just so he'd buy her a newer model. Maybe no one she knew wanted it and she was tired trying to get it off of her hands. Who knows; but you are the lucky new owner -- one who appreciated a good find. WooHoo!
