Patty...I don't think that its a rule that strawberries will always have snakes in them...I had them for quite a while and never had a snake :shock:
Terri is right. To move them, just dig up the "babies" the little plants that have been shot out from the big ones. They will do just fine. Then you can just pull up the big plants. The big plants won't be producing again anyway..its always the baby ones.
