This is NOT the same as quilt-as-you-go (QAYG), and although you do need to put some thought into how you are going to divide up the sections, for the most part you just piece your blocks and sew them together as you normally would. Marti Michel has a great book showing many different methods to use.
That sounds very interesting and I'll look into Marti Michel's book. I feel like I'd need some instruction to do it but am now thinking of how I could have done that with this quilt. Joining the sections together to look good is something I might need help with. Thanks!
