I unpacked an old tote of fabric a couple of weeks ago and found some old material that I had made some baby clothes out of years ago. My kids are in their 30's now so that is how old some of the fabric is. I decided to make a baby quilt out of some pieces- for no other reason except I have never machine quilted anything. So I got busy.

As it turns out, I went to the bank to make a deposit, and there is a teller I have become friends with at the bank. We don't do anything together, in fact I only know her name is Lisa. Well, she has always been so nice and friendly to me, and I found out that she is pregnant. She has only been married for about a year. She is so excited. Found out today she is having a boy.

The baby quilt turned out pretty nice (at least I think so) and I decided to give it to her. Also made a bib to go with it.

I am happy for both of us. It's exciting to make something for a special person who has made your life pleasant in a small way.

What do you think of my first attempt?
