I also have a 6600 which I really love. Am also considering an embroidery/sewing/quilting machine. Are you aware that Janome is introducing a new machine this September and it is supposed to be a new TOL machine (replacing the 1100)? I've heard the price is enough to choke on but am still anxiously awaiting its arrival. If I'm going to buy an embroidery machine, I want one that is uses the most up to date technology. I don't want to spend that kind of money on outdated technology. I'd prefer to stick with Janome if I can. Good luck with your search. Enjoy your retirement.
