I have only used a couple of times but as far as I know you cannot resharpen. I clean out the threads in the dies when used so I would imagine that helps. The most expensive part is the cutting mats. I have gone thru several. A couple of times I have reordered and they were on backorder. If you are using the rag die plan a mat just for that. I cut one top with the rag die and about half the second one and the cutting mat had too many holes to continue using.
