If you are entering a quilt in show - regardless of the level of the show........READ the rules for the category you are putting the quilt in.
I was recently involved in a show where many wonderful quilt had to be eliminated from the category they were entered in because the quiltmaker didn't read and or follow the rules. Most common was the requirement related to size. Judges don't have the authority to move a quilt from one category to another and many sponsoring groups choose not to do it as well. So read the rules carefully and make sure your quilts falls into the correct category. Sometime even 1" can make a difference. Another is
"Speciality Thread". If the rules say "no speciality thread" make sure you understand what speciality thread is or isn't"
