From what I remember off hand is that there are three different blocks to be made...the first two blocks are made from the fabric cut and the third block is made from new strips of fabric cut and uses fabric left over from the second block. (I think) Everytime I have made this quilt I have to read and reread the directions. Maybe a trip to your LQS (Local Quilting Store) would be good because they can show you in person how to make the blocks.
