If you're just turning the washer, there's no need to remove the handwheel.
LOL no worries, i don't know the difference between the knob and handwheel so i didn't think anything of it. LOL. I took off the center knob and rotated the washer and violia... it's perfect!!!! Thanks so much i'm so excited! It does seem that he cleaned it cuz there was was fresh oil in there i bet the washer just got put back wrong. yay thanks so much!
