I read on this board recently (I think) that asking a quilter to do repairs was like asking Picasso to paint your garage. I've been caught once or twice so now say often enough that I dislike mending even for myself and that I'm a quilter. No time for mending.
On the charitable side is she lonely and using these mending jobs as a means of having your company.
