What is 'twice quilted'?
To answer your question: Twice quilted is, I quilt the entire quilt with one design like leaves, in one color of thread, go back over with a different design like roses, with a different color thread. I have done this with snowflakes and mittens, hearts and hands. the book is called Twice Quilted Continnous line Quilting Designs by Glorianne Cubbage.
There is 20 different designs in her book. What I do is trace them on paper until I have it down, then I do it freehand onto the quilt. It made the quilt very elegant looking. Also you have to have the right quilt top for twice quilted to work.
