Use decopage ( I hope I spelled it right). You can buy it at walmart at the craft section. I used it to cover light switches before. I also decorated plain glass plates with it.
Use the fabric on the underside of the glass plate, brush with decopage and let dry. Trim excess of when completely dry.
Cut the fabric to whatever size or shape you need, place it where you would like to have it, brush the decopage over it. Trim when completely dry, it worked for me.
I also used it to make coasters from small bathroom tiles. Put some fleece on the rough side of the tile and a picture of your liking on the smooth side, cover the top with decop. and let dry.
They made nice gifts.
