I would love to use the border fabric, that would be my first choice because that is the only fabric I let the bride pick out. Unfortunately, I searched high and low a few weeks ago for it and was able to find 1.5 yds, just enough to make pillowcases.

For a backing I think I would use the blue print you have in your outer border on the front. I am just not a fan of dark backings.
