I got my finger stuck under the needle in my Janome. Hubby couldn't hear me yell. I had to get my own finger out. I don't know why the needle didn't penetrate, but boy am I glad it didn't.
I try to use something to poke the fabric through now. Sometimes I use the seam ripper, long pin, chop stick, thin crochet hook......
