There are an amazing number of free videos on youtube.com. I especially like the ones by Missouri Star Quilt Company but there might be some that are even more elementary. Jenny Doan (of MSQC) also has an online course you pay for but I think it's excellent (I did it). You can stop, start, replay, type in questions (and she really does reply to them).
