Here is a picture of my latest WIP thought you would enjoy. Husband and I dearly love a little island on the Virginia Atlantic Coast where we vacation a couple times a year called Chincoteague. It is the home of the famous Chincoteague ponies and the book Misty many of us read as kids. I recently purchased a pattern book called "Big Book of Small Quilts" and on the front was a quilt that reminded me so much of Chincoteague Island. So for a week I have been piecing this little quilt as a tribute to Chincoteague and the time we have spent there. I have made some additions to the pattern such as adding the dolphin and the pony and adding Chincoteague, wording to the lighthouse. Still have two more borders to go then will get started on the quilting. I just love it and on a cold January day it will sure bring back warm memories of summer. Thanks for looking.
