New Community Service Class at Rich Mountain Community College starts Wed 8/17
Tote Bag Construction Class starts August 17, 2011
In this fun, four week class, students will learn to make several types of fabric bags or containers from their own fabrics. Sizes can be custom made or you can follow a planned pattern. Students will make a drawstring bag, a sewing machine cover, and a handy tote. Supplies include the following: Sewing machine, 90/14 needles, thread, rotary mat, ruler and cutter, scissors. Fabrics should be 100% cotton, and can be yardage or a selection of 8 to 12 fat quarters. Optional supplies include bodkin, 1 yard ribbon or cording, 2 yards of one inch wide nylon, cotton or poly webbing, fusible interfacing, fusible fleece, or thin batting like Warm and Natural or 80/20 cotton/poly low loft. Class size is limited, so stop by the college today to sign up.
