Just put the finishing touches on this quilt this afternoon. It's for a show next month. Nothing big, a smaller local deal but it's my first time showing so I'm super nervous. I keep imagining the judge is going to laugh at my quilt and the spectators are going to talk among themselves asking why someone would bother to enter this quilt. It's a personal goal of mine to show though and you gotta start somewhere, right?

This quilt is a Glad Creations pattern called Faceted Jewels. I named this quilt "Assorted Gems" in honor of my uncle who passed away a few years ago from cancer. We used to sit around the campfire eating these store bought cookies called Assorted Gems. It was a game and joke to see which one you'd pull out of the bag.
