The problem I think nowdays is the gift wish lists at so many stores. The idea started out that someone out of town could choose a gift that the couple/bride/parents to be needed. What it has turned into is "this is what you will buy for me". Individual gifts chosen by the person paying for the gift is behind the times. True, there are those who appreciate handmade items. But it is few it seems.
I think your quilt is perfect for a baby and if allowed to know the quilt, would love it to pieces. :)
