I made my DD this quilt for her friend and co worker. She has ovarian cancer. Her prognosis was not good. She has been taking chemo treatments and last week they did the surgery, now they say with the rest of the chemo they think they have gotten everything and she will be fine. Prayers have been answered. They all wore rain boots to have lunch with her so you can see the fabric I found with rain boots. She is also a big KU fan otherwise I used my stash. It is an Elenor Burns pattern called "Twin Sister" in her all seasons book. The back is white with a strip of piano keys so everyone at work can sign it for her. I also made a pillow case to go with it. She can now lay or sit with comfort.
I finished this quilt at the cabin looking out at the lake on my 440 Bernina. I just quilted in the ditch for this one to leave room for signing on the back.
