It's always nice to hear about someone being rewarded for doing a kind deed for somebody else that they would have done anyway. You were helping the gentleman out by assisting him with what is a very emotionally draining and difficult task. He has the satisfaction of knowing that his wife's machine went to someone who will treasure it and you will have fond memories of both of them every time you use it.
