- Click "Create New Topic" for a new topic or "Reply" for posting in an existing topic.

- Enter the contents of the post (the words, not the pictures).

- Preview the contents (if you want). You can skip previewing.

- Once you are ready to attach a picture, click the "Browse" button (below).

- Select the image file on your computer and hit OK/Open button in the file dialog.

- Enter the description of the file in the respective field (left).

- Leave the "store original" check boxes unchecked (the default setting).

- Click "Send" to submit your post along with the picture.

Make sure your picture is in JPG, GIF, BMP, or PNG format. Otherwise, it will be added as a file attachment without being displayed on the page.

If you are posting a scan of your drawing/pattern/template, then you might want to enable the "store original" option. Enabling it stores your original high resolution file so people can use the "Download" link to open up the larger version of the image. Please don't enable it for regular pictures of quilts.

Please do not embed pictures hosted on a remote site. it can slow down page loads. Also, and most important, if the photographs are removed or otherwise unavailable from the remote host, they cannot be viewed here. A "Pictures post" with no picture(s) won't do our members much good. It creates confusion and takes away from the fun.

if you are attaching a picture using the steps outlined above, then no need to worry about image size. The board will resize it automatically. However, please keep in mind that very large picture files will load very, very slowly both when you are attaching them and when we are trying to enjoy them.

If for some reason your pics didn't go through, then please don't create another post for the same images. Instead, click "Add New Attachment" link at the bottom and try adding your image files again.
