For an OBW to be most effective you need a larger variety of colors and shapes in your print. I don't know how it would do in the stack n whack as I have not tried that.
My OBW is currently just stacked in the paper plates ready to be sewed up. The bright tropical print with navy background yielded a wide variety of different kaliediscope patterns.
You might be able to make it work, but I am skeptical.
