Most of my sewing is done here at home after work. But I do have a group of ladies from church and we get together one weekend a month for a UFO weekend. It runs from 5 - 11 (12 or 1) Friday and 9 - 3 on Saturday. It just so happens that it is tonight and tomorrow. We will have anywhere from 4 to 12 of us come and sew away. I love UFO weekends, it's a great time to get together with my friends and sew and swap ideas, patterns and sometimes even fabrics. Last weekend we went on the Central Coast Quilt run, there were 6 of us and we had a great time hitting 14 quilt shops and buying lots of stuff. It is great to go with friends, we help each other look for things we're searching for and helping to get good matches or contrasts.
I also belong to a Guild but can't attend every month cause I volunteer for the MOPS Group at church and sometimes they land on the same days. Have never taken a workshop with Guild as I work and can't make it to those.
