One of the good things about entering quilts in our County Fair is that you can donate them to charity. So I entered four "Charity Quilts" this year. Everyone gets a participation ribbon (and other ribbons too as they are judged also) but you don't get the quilts back (the fair gives them to a charity)...or so I thought!

When I picked up my quilts from the fair, they brought me all my quilts -- even the charity ones. When I told them I didn't think I was supposed to get the charity quilts back, the woman in charge said, "We had a lady in here this morning that changed her mind and wanted all her charity quilts back to give as gifts." I was appalled -- weren't they a gift already???

Wondered if any of you had heard of such a thing? Thanks for letting me blow off steam!
