You'll love your new FW. There really isn't much that you can do to break it. They were made to last!!

I highly recommend Dave McCallum's book "The Featherweight 221 and I". It costs $35.00 but is worth every penny....it has been so helpful to me plus he has good instructions on fixing the chipped area on your machine. I also have his video but I have used the book a lot. Here is the link:

i also have the other book, that you mentioned. It's interesting to read because it tells the history of the 221's but Dave's book is more of an owner's hands-on type manual. His writing is easy to read and understand and his illustrations are large making it so easy to "see" what he is talking about.
