Yes, that is what I did years ago too..there are many and I mean many books on this subject (check your library out!):0)We have created many things w/modge podge...everything from taking fabric cut outs and putting them on terra cotta pots and add an a layer of m.podge to seal it to creating collages. But, I've always felt it was basically a thicker 'glue':)w/polyurethene you should be able to keep it clean. Keep us posted on your creations!:)Skeat
