What an adventure for you. My husband and I have talked about someting similar of renting in Maui for 3 to 6 months just to see what it is like, how expensive the overall living costs are and if we would enjoy it full time. However, our daughter is getting married next summer so it will have to wait until after that momentous ocassion.
I've PM'd you and would love to hear about where you are renting and how you selected the place. We did not take the time to look for rental property the last time we were there and have only looked on-line which is not very satisfactory to me.
