I became an empty nester 5 weeks after my 45th birthday :D and 2 months after I turned 45 I became a Grama :D So yes, life changed a lot for me during those two months LOL
I had a few friends who were already empty nesters and more who were very jealous of my new found status :D
There are pros and cons to having an empty nest, I do miss my kids, but it was time for them to be out on their own :D:D:D
I enjoy having my grands come to visit, it is the best of both worlds :D We have a lot of fun, they wear me out, and then they get to go home. None of the financial stress, parenting duties, just the fun and enjoyment of their company. :D:D:D
