Same here in silicon valley. Cost of housing is high but there are some great adult communities that are based on income. We really don't have all the seasons here though. We bought a couple places in Texas (Hamilton) thinking we would retire there but since they have had months of 104-110 heat we are looking other places also. Really hard to beat most of California's weather
