I am not fond of binding or any form of ironing, or for that matter, pin basting. For baby quilts, I tend to use a birthing method (envelope) and bypass the binding. I have asthma and can't spray baste. I don't really hate any of it. I just set up proceedures so that I don't ruin myself in the process. Now that my DH set up a new sewing area for me, clean up isn't too bad either.
