We used to live exactly where you live now and did not care for the high temps and particularly the FOG in the winter. When we retired, we moved to the foothills (near Jackson, CA) and are at 2,600 feet. We are above the fog and below the snow. (although we do ocassionally get nuisance snow that melts quickly......) It is beautiful, we have warm temperatures but rarely over 100 degrees and enjoy the pine trees, cedar trees, manzanita and madrone trees. It is Heaven!!!!!
