I have lived in Maryland my whole life. We have the mountains and the ocean. We are close to Washington D.C. for sightseeing. We get the heat in the summer and some snow in the winter, but our springs and falls are magnificant. There is no prefect place. We do not get many hurricanes. By the time they come up the coast, they are generally tropical storms.
