You know your fabric is from the 60's when you find a pair of hiphugging bell bottoms that were homemade by the person who had the fabric. I don't think I ever saw a pair of bell bottoms where the "bell's" were this big but I had to laugh as I certainly had some of these but they weren't made of gingham and the bell's weren't this big.
