I was 43 when my youngest moved out. The next year I started college and earned a BS in Commputer Science. My husband left being an engineer and found a job as an editorial/sports cartoonist. Our income dropped considerablly for about 4 years while we were in transition. But it was exciting, fun, and eventually profitable. We were able to travel the U.S. for the first time. Now we're retired and just moved to a fishing lake into a house 1/2 the size of our old one. No bills other than utilities. So enjoy where you are and look forward to changes that can bring new life and adventure.
