Stop using throw-aways. Make cloth napkins via the 'rip and tear' method. Cut up old white tee shirts for cleaning rags instead of paper towels.
A bottle of bleach, a bottle of vinegar and you can say goodbye to many cleaning products. Pour bleach in toilet close lid and soak. Mix white vinegar and water to clean floors, counters, woodwork, door knobs, mirrors, windows, etc.
Did you know that you can buy substitutes for a lot of things at the $ store......jars of oxyclean powder, stain remover for laundry.
Make a little bag with a drawstring from thin material. Pop small pieces of barsoap in and use it for showering, bathing instead of a puffy.
When you buy bar soap, put it in the closet unwrapped. The soap will air harden and last much longer. My grandparents did this back in the 40s!
