When I was married we always had a house/pool,and it seems like this timeof year we always had algae problems...my ex was very detailed conscious as far as the pool and pool water was concerned so I always felt like the issue was always beyond his control. As far as closing up the pool, we didn't close it until after Thanksgiving....had a swim party in the middle of October one year.....
When I was a kid growing up in the Atl GA area, the weather ALWAYS got cooler after Labor Day and I was always so excited so I could wear my new clothes....NOW,it stays warm until forever !
